The Curriculum planning in the freshman and sophomore years consists in basic animation theory and skill training. The main teaching contents will include traditional character performance skills, digital painting, 3D computer animation, etc. Moreover, the basic courses join integrated production courses to make animated short films for yearly evaluation. In the junior and senior years, it will divide into different sessions based on the production making in the workshop, which are hand-drawing session, computer animation session, stop-motion animation session, etc. In coordination with the yearly thematic production, the students will develop and create a thematic animation feature film and then extend it to a development production, like animation film or series, as their graduation production. The development of the courses for this department is paying attention to animation aesthetics, technology and direction with the core objective of cultivating creative talents and outstanding producers in the animation field.
